Sweet 3

For me having a third baby has been a really enjoyable time. My favorite thing has been watching how his brother and sister help (*try) to take care of him. I do believe that is one advantage of pulling Avery out of preschool and not choosing to put Adelyn in. They are best friends. They play together, they fight together, they make messes together, and they clean up together. But 24/7, they are all together. And for us it has been such a blessing.  Avery and Elly love "taking care" of baby Xan; and Xander has figured out how to get what he needs as well (like climbing up on the table and having them feed him). There are days when it is hard. When they argue, and disobey, and I feel failure weighing on me. But then God blesses me with these little reminders, these glimpses of pure love - and for a second they are not tainted with selfishness...and that is what gets me through the day.
